Call for one installation work to be exhibited at the entrance of the venue of Architectural Informatics WEEK 2024 (annual conference) to be held on March 2-3, 2024 at KAJIMA HALL, Lecture Room #15, Faculty of Engineering Bldg. #1, The University of Tokyo.
The installation should express something related to architectural informatics and be experienced by visitors to the venue to impress them with the event of AIS WEEK.
The installation may be a physical installation, virtual installation, or any other format, as long as it can be placed in one of the potential locations listed below and be experienced by visitors.
The installation can be installed at one or many of the physical installations on the first floor or mezzanine floor indicated by the red areas in the diagram below. The installation must be a stable, freestanding structure on the floor (or on the desk), 150mm away from walls, pillars, windows, railings, and wall lighting, and must not lean against them or be suspended from the ceiling. Care must be taken not to damage the floor or desk surfaces. The height of the installation must be a maximum of 3000 mm and must be sufficiently stable and non-hazardous. If a power source is required, the cable must be run from the blue circle symbol on the drawings, and the cable must be covered so that it does not obstruct walking. The maximum capacity of the power supply is limited to 1500 watts per unit (note the total wattage, especially if wiring is done with splitters). The university guest WIFI is available at the installation with authentification with a cell phone number, but applicants must provide their own Internet connection if they require more stability and capacity.
